Lookahead Search now hires technical leaders

Hannah, Matt and I will be working together on hiring executive roles in Sydney and Melbourne. We’re best suited to hiring software engineers who have graduated into technical leadership positions.
Lookahead Search has been focused on hiring software engineers for 4 years now. Last month there were eight full time recruiters hiring Javascript, Ruby on Rails, iOS and Android developers. Anything outside that scope was rare. This focus has served us well. It’s meant we can get to know everyone in the world, because the world we defined for ourselves is small.
As of today, hiring technical leadership positions is also a Thing We Do™.
It’s the people that matter to us. Technologies will change and people inevitably grow. It’s our job to move with those great people. Developers I’ve known for up to a decade are no longer looking to code all day, they’re looking to contribute more effectively as a leader of technical people.
With a strong candidate network already in place, we quietly took on and successfully placed senior roles: CTO, Head of Technology, VP of Engineering, Tech Principal, Development Lead, Technical Director, Lead Technologist, Head of Security.
After making those placements, we’re confident this is an area we can add a lot of value. We’re really excited about this new chapter for Lookahead.
