Amazon Innovation Day & AWS Summit 2018

Action packed, energizing and inspiring! Last week in Sydney, Amazon hosted their yearly AWS Summit and also presented a brand new event, Amazon Innovation Day, for ‘Leaders with a bias for action’. It was 3 days of presentations, workshops and hearing from some of the most talented people in the technology industry.

Personally, I enjoyed catching up with old friends and making new ones! A bunch of stellar presentations. In particular, it was great to hear of the last developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI) from Dr. Jordan Nguyen. If you haven’t seen his ABC Catalyst special called 'Meet the Avatars’, watch it on iView now! It was also awesome to hear from great Australian startups Airtasker, Atlassian, and Xero. Inspiring stuff, and I can’t wait to do it all again next year!
