**The role** Our client is a Lloyd’s syndicate working across aviation, marine, cargo, cyber and other specialty insurance lines, underpinned by its own proprietary platform. The business has around 65 people across Australia and the Philippines, with a flat, collaborative culture and founders who are genuinely hands-on. They’re looking for a Technical Project Manager to take real ownership of delivery across their technology and process initiatives, working closely with the COO and the technical team. You’ll sit between the business, particularly underwriting, and the developers building for them, translating requirements into clear, actionable work and making sure it gets delivered. It suits someone with strong technical fluency and an execution mindset, not a purely governance-focused project manager. **About you** - Experience as a technical project manager or operations professional with strong delivery instincts, someone who takes ownership and drives outcomes independently - Technically fluent enough to engage credibly with developers and understand integrations and APIs at a conceptual level - Genuine interest in AI and automation, with practical experience applying these tools to real business problems - Confident engaging senior stakeholders, comfortable holding people accountable and pushing back where needed - Comfortable mapping, documenting and improving business processes and workflows - Insurance or underwriting experience is a bonus, not essential, full training on the domain will be provided **The offer** - Hybrid working arrangement, based in a Sydney office several days a week, with flexibility as you settle in - Salary between $100k and $150k plus super - A flat, down-to-earth culture with approachable founders who look out for their people - Real ownership over how the platform and processes are built, not siloed execution **Find out more** Express your interest through this listing, or get in touch with the Lookahead team to find out more.
