Senior Project Manager - Identity & PAM (contract)
Lead a cyber security project inside a federal govt department, managing the delivery of an internal identity & Privileged Access Management solution.
- 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extensions (up to 3 years total)

The role
This federal government department’s Client Services and Cyber Branch needs a seasoned senior project manager to lead delivery of an internal identity and PAM solution - work that sits at the heart of the department’s ICT cyber security environment. The team manages projects with organisation-wide impact, and this one is no exception. You’ll own the full lifecycle: project planning and scheduling, stakeholder engagement, governance, budget management, and reporting through to the executive. The role starts July 2026 and runs for 12 months, with possible extensions.
About you
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Senior Project Manager in an ICT or cyber security environment
- Demonstrated experience delivering internal identity projects (IAM, IDAM, or similar)
- Hands-on experience delivering a PAM solution — commercial tools such as CyberArk, Delinea, or BeyondTrust, or custom/bespoke solutions
- Experience coordinating managed service providers, third-party vendors, and internal business stakeholders
- Able to produce high-quality executive briefs, business cases, and project reports
- Strong judgement and ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
- Must be ACT-based and able to obtain NV1 security clearance (or hold one already)
