Senior Front End Engineer

A well-established Australian digital marketplace is rebuilding and modernising its core platform after a major business transformation. This is a high-ownership role where you will shape front-end standards, help scale a growing team, and deliver fast, reliable user experiences used by a large, national audience.
The role
- Own and evolve a customer-facing web application in React, focusing on performance and scalability
- Help optimise real-time user experiences for speed and resilience under high traffic.
- Contribute to front-end architecture decisions as legacy patterns are replaced and the platform is consolidated.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering peers, and mentor others on front-end best practices.
About you
- Strong commercial experience building production web apps with React
- A pragmatic mindset: you know when to iterate vs when to invest in longer-term foundations.
- Experience in mentoring other engineers.
- Comfortable in a changing environment with a lot of autonomy and ambiguity.
