In addition to helping businesses establish and own their brand sound, we also help retailers to activate their Retail Media Networks by setting up, running and commercialising their audio assets. This extends from music curation, ad production and collateral to ad sales and price evaluation. Qsic has invested heavily in developing a patented method of measuring the impact of audio advertising on real-world in-store transactions. We are now a leading provider of AI technology that strategically leverages the power of audio to deliver better customer and sales experiences.
The role
We’re hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team. We are after someone who can:
- Help evolve our existing data platform to maturity appropriate for our scale
- Participate in architecture discussions, contributing your experience to solving problems
- Meticulously watch data quality, performance and infrastructure costs
- Champion deployments and consult on scaling considerations
- Continuously improve our data platform with every feature delivered
- Communicate upstream functionality gaps to the wider engineering team
Skills
- Proven experience with Databricks, Spark and Python in production
- Proficiency with defining platform and pipelines in code, e.g. Terraform
- Deep understanding of batch and streaming ETL/ELT approaches
- Familiarity with AWS fundamentals and data services
- Continuous improvement mindset to identify data engineering improvements
Nice to have
- Background in an industry with messy data, e.g. finance, retail, health
- Exposure to building pipelines used in training ML models
