Senior Software Developer

Sydney Contract $0.9k – $1k $900 - $1,000

Develop mission-critical software solutions supporting Australia's agricultural sector. React, Node and Azure.

The Role
Join a high-impact team as a Senior Software Developer, contributing to significant digital projects aimed at enhancing Australia’s trade and biosecurity systems. Work in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver agile JavaScript applications with a focus on design, optimization, and user experience. This role offers hybrid working arrangements with office locations available in Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, or Melbourne.

About You
You’re an experienced Full Stack Developer with a proven track record of writing secure, well-tested JavaScript code. You excel in providing technical leadership and advice across complex projects. Your ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including BAs, UX Designers, Solution Architects, and Service Designers, sets you apart. You thrive in environments that prioritize problem discovery and agile methodologies, making you a valuable team player.

Skills & Experience

Good understanding of cloud infrastructure (experience with Microsoft Azure highly desirable).
Strong experience with React, Node and Express.
Knowledge of common web security issues and how to avoid them.

The Offer

Hybrid work model: up to 3 days per week in the office.
Competitive daily rate up to $1000 per day.
Initial 12-month contract with a possible 6-month extension.
