I haven't been a founder during a downturn, but I’ve thought a lot about it. The real winners stay lean, keep the team together and weather the storm. Part of staying lean meant shifting to four days per week. Debbie has always worked Mon - Thu, so we’re following her lead.
We're eight weeks in and it feels great. I've found more momentum in a four day week. Life admin that used to be sprinkled throughout my week now all happens on Friday, leaving Monday to Thursday focused.
The roles we’re now hiring are getting more love than ever and those companies are enjoying the candidate rich market. There’s also time to work on the business - keep an eye out for our rebrand. :)
