If someone you know is looking to hire or be hired, please think of us.

We will take good care of anyone you refer. We can answer questions they have about the market or talk through ways to optimise their hiring process. We can even introduce them to other specialist recruiters if their skills are not in areas we know extremely well. So if you're unsure, refer them anyway.

Successful referrals are rewarded with your choice of a gift voucher, donation to charity or community event sponsorship to the value of $1,000. (Eligible three months after successful placement. Referral must be to a client or candidate we are not currently working with.)

What's your background? Where were you before joining Lookahead?

I have a varied background in hospitality, medical admin and corporate, ranging from a family run business to major companies like Commonwealth Bank and Aldi. While the titles are different, every role I have taken on allows me to interact with a wide range of people and have found this is what makes me happy.

Why did you join Lookahead?

Being able to support and join such interesting and talented people was a no brainer! Since my first chat with Steve, it was really like the mothership calling me home.

What are you passionate about?

Animals. They are what make life amazing! I have been very lucky to have grown up with many pets throughout my childhood, to have families trust me to housesit and look after their pets while on holidays and to be a volunteer at Sydney Dogs and Cats home. I was able to foster kittens during the first lockdown which led me to foster failing with my very own cat.

What was the last book you read or podcast you listened to?

Last book I read was A Million Little Pieces by James Frey - it is the only book I have ever wanted to read more than once. Its gritty and dark but so grabbing. The podcast that I listen to is Dark History, a fun spin on learning about something.

If you were not at Lookahead where would you be working or what is your dream job?

Dream job if I were to win the lotto is to build and run a Doggy Day care centre - but if I could really do ANYTHING, it would be either a surgical nurse or mortician. I am oddly interested in the gross things.

First Car?

My tiny Toyota Echo - The little silver pea on wheels.

Proudest Accomplishment?

Buying my apartment and in Sydney of all places!

Feeling very proud to hold the sold sign

What piece of technology seems like magic to you?

Honestly, smartphones. Mobile phones have come so far, so quick. Going through high school, all they did was call and text (and panic if you ever hit the internet button and how much you would be charged for it) but now we can barely go a day without our phones, they are everything! They house so many possibilities beyond calls and texts, and now most people wouldn't know what to do with a phone without internet.

What's on your Bucket List?

Be an extra in a movie or TV show would be so fun! Or do a shark dive in the aquarium, but not down for the ocean dive...
