This past Monday and Tuesday was the YOW! Data Conference in Sydney. Thanks to Dave Thomas, Kris Howard and the rest of the organising team for putting on a cracking good event. Some awesome speakers and great topics. Catching up with old friends and meeting new ones is always a fun and rewarding use of time.

For those who’ve never attended a YOW! Event, they organise a number of high quality, professionally hosted software development events, from evening meetups, to workshops, to large scale conferences. I’ve been a happy customer for years, attending events as an agile and software development professional, years before I became a technical recruiter with Lookahead.

You can check out the YOW! events here - http://yowconference.com.au/

The YOW! Data conference had some amazing international speakers, and also featured some home grown Aussie talent courtesy of data professionals from Atlassian, Xero, Data61, CSIRO, University of Melbourne, and many others. I can’t wait to book my YOW! Data conference ticket for next year, and am also looking forward to the main YOW! Sydney event later this year. If you missed the conference, that’s too bad. Be sure to check out their other events. Also, here are a few of our favourite tweets from earlier this week.
