Technical Recruiter


We’re looking to hire people who have worked in a software development team and have an interest in recruiting. You could be an experienced recruiter or a total newbie. Most people at Lookahead Search are here in their first recruiting role.

Our training program has helped software engineers, system administrators, project managers, product owners and agile coaches become technical recruiters. They've taken their prior experience and gone on to do amazing work for our clients.

From day one you'll have software development roles to hire with clients we love working with. They're companies who are making their own software products that care about building high performing teams.

You'll use the knowledge you gained working in software teams to identify great places to work and match them with talented developers. You'll get involved in technical communities and contribute in a meaningful way. That means going to plenty of meetups and conferences - so you’re always able to stay up to date with technology. :)

It's a relaxed office environment with a supportive, diverse team who love to share their knowledge. There's flexibility to work from home, we usually do one day a week. Some of us like to arrive and leave early in order to make the school pickup.

You'll be supplied with your choice of high end computer, a tablet, and your mobile phone is covered. We never skimp on technology.

We’re a small, tight knit team who love a lunch, impromptu gelato run, our quarterly get togethers and annual Team Hang. You can find out about our team here:

You'll earn a base salary that's similar to what you're used to coming from a software engineering team. When you’re up and running with commission coming in, you’ll probably be earning a fair bit on top of that.
