Node.js Developer | Melbourne
Details (ARCHIVED)ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client is a Melbourne-based start-up focused on medical payment and claiming solutions, aiming to set the standard for system efficiency and a better experience of care. Backed by a major financial company (amongst other prominent partners), they are quickly becoming the leading healthcare quotes and claims platform in the country.
They aim to continually work in the company of supportive and inclusive people. Their primary focus is on ensuring that all employees of all backgrounds, cultures, gender identities, sexual orientation, physical ability, age, and all other characteristics that create a varied and representative group of humans are constantly feeling like valued and respected members of the team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The platform is built primarily with Node.js, with some React/Redux on the front, and MongoDB. The codebase is thoroughly tested and continually deployed so you'll need to have experience in a similar setup to maintain the quality as more features get added. You'll also get a chance to develop some high quality software propositions using restful APIs, while also helping set the standard for development practices.
You've already got a number of years in a similar role working primarily with Node. A deep understanding of transaction processing controls, including workflows and rules engines will be highly regarded. You understand how to simplify data integration with existing (and sometimes very legacy) environments. You're able to thrive in a fast-paced yet autonomous environment. You value working in a supportive team environment and aren't afraid to put your hand up and suggest better work practices and methodologies.
Above all else, if you're a tenacious, pragmatic software developer with a good sense of humour who doesn't take themselves too seriously, you'll succeed in this role.
