React Native Engineer | Melbourne
Details (ARCHIVED)ABOUT THE COMPANY
My client provides a final-step delivery optimisation platform for various delivery services both in Australia and a number of other countries. They do this by providing a range of bespoke tools and integration frameworks to allow their clients to integrate and analyse those last few all important steps of parcel delivery using their own systems of record.
The team itself is a very collaborative team that works well together in a fast-paced yet autonomous environment. The ability to be able to communicate with customers who are both technical and non-technical is highly regarded.
My client is an equal opportunity employer who puts tremendous value on diversity and inclusion. They don't discriminate on basis of race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status or disability status.
ABOUT THE TECH YOU'LL USE
The stack is primarily built with Node.JS, MongoDB, React & React Native, iOS Objective-C and Android Java. The customer-facing apps are primarily mobile SDKs, referencing mobile applications with an API framework and responsive web dashboard. They integrate rapidly and deploy multiple times a day.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll join a talented team of developers to help maintain the current suite of customer and client facing apps. They've recently designed and spec'd out a new customer facing app to add to their suite of tools, so are looking for an experienced developer with plenty of React Native who can help make turn their plan into a working and scalable app. You'll then be able to help guide the future of the product, set programming standards, and help guide technical direction.
You're a senior developer who is tenacious and good-humoured, who thrives on working well in a collaborative Agile environment. Skills-wise, you have plenty of commercial mobile development experience, especially using React and React Native (if you're a Senior Front End Developer with extensive React.js experience who want to branch out into mobile development, you will also be considered). You're passionate about the tech you use and constantly keep up to date with the latest version of The Latest Cool Thing. You have a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of UX and UI principals.
