Front End User Interface Developer | Remote

Details (ARCHIVED)

Our client's product is growing steadily and they are looking for a front end developer who can help them create beautiful user interfaces using LESS and JavaScript. You'll be part of a team that appreciates good user experience and work amongst developers who put emphasis on the quality of their codebase. You'll collaborate closely with their lead front end developer, who cares deeply about the fundamentals of front end development (scalable CSS, accessibility, performance).

Their team is based around Sydney with some people in the US as well. They work remotely majority of the time and get together as a company often.

You have experience building web applications using modular CSS and understand the principals of scalable front end architecture. You're comfortable with CSS pre-processors and ideally have good knowledge of JavaScript ES5 / ES6. You might have used Bootstrap or other frameworks before, but you know when you need to break away from them to create a light-weight user interface. Most importantly, you have strong attention to detail and are able to collaborate with designers.

  • Flexibility of working remotely around Australia
  • Work with people who genuinely care about front end and design
  • Collaborate with developers who value your technical input
To apply, please send me an introductory email about what you enjoy doing, together with your resume and links to your website, Github account or projects you've done that you're proud of.

I'm a technical recruiter who is actually technical. I've had a lot of experience working in tech companies, and understand what people look for in a good team. If this role isn't quite right for you but you are passionate about front end, JavaScript or Ruby on Rails, I would still love to hear from you.
