Android developer | Sydney
Details (ARCHIVED)The Role
This product is instantly recognisable and is evolving continuously. As a developer on our collaborative and fast moving team, you'll be empowered to react directly to customer feedback, ensuring the best possible user experience on the Android app. You will push the boundaries of current mobile experiences and deliver features and enhancements that delight millions of users around Australia.
We're looking for someone who has deep technical knowledge of the Android framework and ecosystem, and is comfortable with everyday development tools like git, Android Studio, Gradle, and continuous delivery tools. Ideally, you'll have experience with client-server architecture and understand complex code bases (including API techniques). We'd love to see that you've applied good UI/UX design principles in your past work. Clean and maintainable code is the name of our game so this is something that you should value too.
Even if you haven't worked on commercial products, we'd love to take a look at the Android apps in your personal portfolio. We are big open source advocates, so you'll have a chance to have some of your work contributed to the wider community. We follow sane development processes and are constantly improving. Hard stuff is automated and code is tested.
We'd love for someone to join us as a permanent member of the team. There's a competitive salary on offer as well as a MacBook Pro retina with your name on it. We also have a rewarding environment that supports your career aspirations. Do you want access to training and mentoring programs? We've got that covered.
Applying is easy. Send an email to email@example.com with your Github account, resume, website, links to apps or anything else you're proud of. Direct emails get responses. If you're not sure, get in touch anyway.
